Poly - crystalline PV panel

Poly-crystalline panels have an average 10% efficiency and are used in applications with low energy demand. For higher energy requirements mono-crystalline panels are mostly used because of their higher efficiency (almost 14%) resulting in the decrease of the required installation area. The panels utilize industry standard construction techniques to ensure long life even in the most severe environments. Every module is covered by a comprehensive 10-year warranty, and meets all applicable industry and consumer standards for safety and reliability. PV modules are made of high efficiency silicon PV cells, capable of producing energy with only 4-5% of solar radiation. All models from 38 Watts have junction boxes wired - in by-pass diode to reduce possible loss of power from partial arrays shading. The summary of the electrical and physical characteristics of our modules is shown below:

Amorphous Si (a-Si) Panels
Material consumption is lower during the manufacture of these solar cells and the production processes are cheaper resulting in lower cost than the other PV panels. One disadvantage is that their efficiency is set lower than 10%. One interesting application is their incorporation in the building's architecture.
